Bridgestone Tyre Sales (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. announced the appointment of Mr. Michael Chung Wing Kay as its first Malaysian Managing Director since its establishment nearly 20 years ago. In his role, Michael will be leading the sales and operations divisions at Bridgestone Malaysia to strengthen its overall business and establish its position as the tyre manufacturer of choice amongst Malaysians.
Michael brings with him almost 30 years of solid general management, manufacturing operations, and sales & marketing experience. Prior to his appointment at Bridgestone Malaysia, Michael has served in the Senior Leadership Team of several multinationals companies like Shell Malaysia, Maxis, AkzoNobel Paints, Nippon Paint and Ekowood International, playing a pivotal role in their exponential growth and successful expansion in key markets across the region.
Michael also possesses a strong track record in business development – notably the transformation of dealer networks, and the restructuring of organizations to boost operational efficiency and drive sustainable operating profits.
With decades of experience in the manufacturing industry, coupled with his invaluable insights into the local market, Michael has the credentials of a business visionary that’s to be reckoned with. Under his leadership, Bridgestone Malaysia is poised to dominate the competition and achieve its greatest- ever success.
